Bu \u00e7ocuklar kendi hizmetlerini g\u00f6rme, kendilerini tehlikelerden koruma, sosyal uyum sa\u011flama, ekonomik ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 alma, temel al\u0131\u015fkanl\u0131klar\u0131 do\u011fal olarak \u00f6\u011frenme gibi y\u00f6nlerden geli\u015fmeleri ya\u015f\u0131tlar\u0131ndan geri olan \u00e7ocuklard\u0131r. Bu \u00e7ocuklar\u0131n \u00f6zel e\u011fitime gereksinimleri vard\u0131r, bedensel geli\u015fimleri de zihinsel geli\u015fimleri ya\u015f\u0131tlar\u0131na oranla daha ge\u00e7 geli\u015fir, ge\u00e7 y\u00fcr\u00fcr, ge\u00e7 konu\u015fur, tuvalet kontrol\u00fcn\u00fc daha ge\u00e7 kazanabilirler.
